UK museum trip 2022

After more then a decade, a museumtrip to the UK was planned. Finally diverting my attention from aircraft spotting to my first interest, aviation museums. The biggest and well known museums were visited, including two small ones to get back in the mood. See map below. A modest tour off almost 1800 km driving on the left side off the roads without any major accidents or conflicts.

A awesome trip to rekindle my interest in historical aircraft. A lot of it was photographed, and sometimes to my surprise even modern planes I saw flying during my spotting trips. Really a eyeopener that those planes are finding there way in museums already. I'm getting old. Typical to English tradition they keep everything in their museums. On display or in storage. Sadly this means overcrowded halls full of planes and artifacts on display. Always fun finding hidden gems, which could be photographed with the kind help and permission of the hall guards. Who escorted me behind the barriers. Without any hazzle and always with a smile. Really a very nice new encounter with the museum scene.
