Japan spotterstrip

After 2 years of absence it was time to visit Japan again for some serious spotting. After a year of non spotting I was really looking forward to this trip. The trip started on the downside. No flying T-4's due to a technical failure with their engines. And to make things even worse, no Japanese fighter jet was flying after their first JSF crash. Luckily our tour started near American bases and they were flying.

After those visits we were heading towards our first Japanese base Komatsu to hear they started flying again. So after a rather slow start things were picking up. The weather even improved to our advantage. Resulting in a nice trip with lots of new spots to discover and appreciate. But no T-4's until the day of our departure. Also probably the last time to see the mighty flying in Japan due to their impending retirement. We made the most of it at Hyakuri.

We visited: NAS Atsugi, MAS Iwakuni, JASDF Iruma, Komatsu, Gifu, Hyakuri, Yamato Museum and Kakamigahara museum.
